Track Your Blogger Statistics with Google

Google owns Blogger (Blogspot), everyone knows that. But we all Blogger bloggers miss the statistics module that for example Wordpress.com blogs already has. Since they’re in the same family I think it would be a good idea to implement Google Analytics with Blogger. But you never know, it might show in the future.

However, if you want to track your visitors on your Blogger/Blogspot without putting up a linkback-image to the tracking-service on your blog (that’s so 90’s!) then Google Analytics is the tool for you.
Since everyone doesn’t know how to do it, here is a little short tutorial for the newbies:

How to set it up

* Go to Google Analytics to sign up or log in.
* When logged in, choose to create a new account and follow the steps. When you get to “Add Tracking“, open up a new window and log in to your Blogger account.
* Go to your blog’s settings and choose “Template” and then “Page Elements“
* Have a look at the footer (it has to be the footer!) of the design and choose to “Add a Page Element“.
* Find the “HTML/JavaScript” element and then “Add to blog“.
* Don’t write anything in the title column. Copy and paste the code from Google Analytics in the content box and “Save changes”.
* Then continue the steps on Google Analytics and you’re done!

Or if you are familiar with coding:

* From dashboard - Settings - Template - Edit HTML
* Scroll down to the very bottom in the box and locate the tag.
* Copy and past the Google code right BEFORE the tag and then save.

To check your stats you just have to click “View Reports”. If it says “Tracking Unknown” in the status column, you have done something wrong.

Also, you might want to get your blog Google verified (link to tutorial for Blogger) so your blog gets crawled so your chances to show up on search results increases. Here is a tutorial for you Wordpress.com users.

Searching Mp3 Files

Seringkali kita mencari mp3 di internet, tapi tidak binggung untuk mencari dimana, padahal

Google sudah sedemikian canggih dalam pencarian data sehingga semua informasi di internet dapat kita cari dengan mudah . Dengan bantuan operator pencarian Google , kita dapat dengan mudah mencari sebuah atau beberapa file MP3,Avi,Mp4,Mp5 (bila ada) di internet .

Pada prinsipnya , kita akan mencari string spesifik seperti mp3 , “index of”,”last modified”,”parent of” dan sebagainya . String tersebut merupakan string yang biasa kita jumpai pada sebuah Directory Listing di web server . Directory Listing adalah fitur dari web server yang dapat menampilkan isi sebuah direktori . Contohnya seperti di sini . Jadi sebenarnya kita akan mencari Directory Listing yang berisikan file file MP3 .

ada beberapa cara untuk mencari file MP3 , tapi kita akan mencoba mengulas cara pencarian menggunakan trik Directory Listing karena merupakan cara paling umum digunakan saat ini dan hasilnya lumayan .

format umum yang biasa digunakan dalam pencarian di internet :

Type 1 : [Directory String] + (inurl:)[file type] + [mp3 name]
Type 2 : [Directory String] + (intitle:)[file type] + [mp3 name]
Type 3 : [Directory String] + [file type] + [mp3 name] + [limitors]

[Directory String] merupakan string spesifik yang biasa kita jumpai di awal list . Ada beberapa yang bisa digunakan seperti : “index of”,”last modified”,”parent of” .

(inurl) (intitle) : operator pencarian di Google .

[file type] adalah jenis file yang akan kita cari . Direpresentasikan dalam format ekstensi dari file tersebut . Misalnya : MP3 , WMA , OGG dsb

[mp3 name] adalah nama file yang akan kita cari . Tidak perlu komplit . Cukup string tertentu saja yang kira kira unik dan terdapat dalam nama file yang akan kita cari . Jadi bisa berupa potongan nama lagu atau nama artisnya . Misalnya : “santana” , "avril ",“my love”, dll

[limitors] digunakan untuk menyaring result yang kita inginkan dari page yang tidak diharapkan . Karena biasanya directory listing ini adalah sebuah direktori alias tidak ada ekstensi maka kita harus menyaring result yang memiliki ekstensi umum seperti html , php , htm , asp dan sebagainya .

Misalnya kita akan mencoba mencari file MP3 dari Fort Minor . String pencariannya adalah :

“index of” + “mp3″ + “fort minor” -html -htm -php

Lalu bagaimana jika kita ingin mendapatkan kumpulan MP3 dari seorang artis saja , misalnya santana. Gampang ! gunakan saja operator inurl , misalnya inurl:”santana” akan memberikan result dimana URL-nya terdapat string “santana” seperti url berikut : http://www.mp3s.pl/music/Santana%20&%20Mana/ . Query lengkapnya adalah :

“index of” + “mp3″ + inurl:”santana” -html -htm -php

Beberapa hasil pencarian mungkin sudah invalid sehingga tidak bisa bisa diakses lagi . Bagaimana mensiasatinya ?? gampang ! setiap file di direktori memiliki timestamp yang menunjukkan kapan terakhir file diupload . Tinggal kita tambahkan saja string timestamp untuk memperbaiki hasil pencarian . Di kasus pencarian santana , sebenarnya saya juga mengalami kendala mendapatkan hasil yang valid krn sebagian besar sudah invalid . Tapi setelah trik “timestamp” ini ditambahkan .. walaa.. didapat beberapa direktori yang khusus untuk menyimpan MP3 dari Fatboy Slim . Querynya seperti ini

“index of” + “mp3″ + “2008″ + inurl:”sanatana” -html -htm -php

Dapat dilihat saya menambahkan angka 2008 sebagai penunjuk bahwa saya menginginkan hasil terbaru yaitu file yang memiliki timestamp tahun 2008 . Tanggal dan bulan bisa juga digunakan asal kita tahu formatnya .

dengan memahami konsep pencarian file MP3 dengan Google tentunya tidak akan sulit jika ingin mencari file lainnya seperti e-book , jpeg pictures , movies , camera .

Mungkin cerita ini bukanlah baru teman-teman dengar, tapi disini saya hanya menceritakan apa yang saya alami, agar tidak ada yang sampai tertipu oleh orang yang tidak bertanggung jawab :D.

Cerita berawal saat saya sedang tidur siang, kemudian saya terbangun mendengar suara panggilan dari hp saya oleh nomor yang tidak saya kenal = no name. Karena penasaran nomor tersebut akhirnya saya jawab juga panggilan tersebut. Dari percakapan kelihatan orang ini cukup pintar= smart karena dia memulai dengan bahasa yang sopan dan dia mengatakan bahwasanya dia dari Telkomsel jakarta, sayapun bingung kenapa dari telkomsel menghubungi saya. Saya diam saja dan mendengarkan apa yang dikatakannya. Dan diapun mengenalkan namanya kepada saya, setelah itu dia mengatakan bahwasanya saya mendapat undian sebesar 16jt (w0w). Kemudian dia mengatakan bahwasanya undian tersebut tidak dikenakan pajak. lalu dia menanyakan kepada saya apakah bapak mempunyai nomor rekening? lalu saya jawab ia. kemudian dia menanyakan lagi apa rekening saya? lalu saya katakan BCA. kemudia dia menanyakan apakah bapak punya atm???? saya jadi bingung apa urusannya atm buat bapak tersebut??? lalu saya bilang saya tidak punya. dia juga menanyakan apakah bapak punya nomor rekening yang lengkap dengan atmnya? sayapun mulai kesal dengan pertanyaannya , langsung saja saya jawab anda ini siapa? diapun menjawab saya dari telkomsel pak? terus saya tanya kok dari telkomsel nomornya pakai nomor pribadi?? dia langsung tidak bisa menjawab dan tau apa katanya, dia malah memaki2 saya....kemudian langsung mematikan telponnya. begitulah kira2 pengalaman yang saya alami. kiranya teman2 hati-hati bila menerima telp dari orang yang tidak jelas. Oh iya beliau juga menggunakan sound sebagai background, dengan bunyi ketikan keyboard....jadi seolah beliau berada di kantornya telkomsel.
